Con Toda Mi Alma is an episodic exhibition collecting the folktales that defined artist Angelica Raquel’s childhood in Laredo, TX/ As she translates these myths and legends into fibers, soft sculptures, paintings, and drawings, Angelica steps into the familial role of storyteller, a mantle once held by her grandfather. In doing so, she not only retells stories from the past, but adds new stories of her own, contemporary accounts of a woman embracing the full mystical power of self as she weaves her own narrative.
